Grant applicants must apply on the Whittenberger Foundation application form, which is available on this website or from the Whittenberger Foundation Secretary at the mailing address, P.O. Box 1073, Caldwell, Idaho 83606-1073. Additional information may be obtained by contacting us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Eight copies of the grant application must be filed with the Secretary of the Foundation BEFORE the sixteenth day of August of each year. Applications received between August 16th and December 31st will not be considered. Applicants will generally be notified of the disposition of their requests in late November. Grants are publicly announced each year in December.
An applicant must be either a qualified public institution or an institution which has received tax-exempt status under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Because the Foundation operates without a professional staff, applications are not pre-screened before review by the Board. Given the large number of applications received each year, the Board appreciates clarity and brevity.
Recipients of the grants are required to file a year-end report documenting the use of funds received. The Foundation may conduct additional evaluation as it deems appropriate.
All recipients of Whittenberger Foundation grants are required to submit a final report detailing the successes and lessons learned through the administration of the grant monies in the particular programs for which they were intended.
The attached PDF form is the preferred format for the final report to be submitted to the Whittenberger Foundation as detailed on the grant application.
